We do not own a flat or villa but have rented flats in vera over the last ten years.We have also been to many other places around europe.We would like to draw peoples attention to the fact that Vera is probably the best of all even with the few minor problems , like dogs dropping.We have been on the internet over the last few months looking for other places to visit.... well there are not many  that come up to knee level compared to vera.
        Lets take the ones in italy most are mixed(both naturiste and textile,  or not by the sea.When I say mixed I mean the whole area is textile with just a corner by the pool  naturistes, even some in the north easten part of spain is like this.Then there are the hidden costs , such as disposit, membership fee , charge for sheets , and charges for kitchen towels.Charges to clean up after you leave all of which are included in the flats we have rented in Vera.In italy the deposits are huge and knowing the way they have with tourists it is a battle to get it all back. In Croatia the naturistes holiday resorts are mostly camping and from what we have seen are mixed again or huge like some post war butlins camp with out clothes, which run competitions for the prettest nude girl.Not our idea of naturism.
            Dont think I am running theses places down as everyone to there own, but what I want to point out is just how good vera is , where you can walk at peace around naked even late at night , where it is not frowned on to walk along the beach and go to the shops or restaurant naked as long as you have your seat covering.Where the beach is sand and is cleaned and the police come by to check all is calm. Elsewhere we have been shut in behind gates and been spied upon on the beachs by men who participate in auto satifaction while peeping , and many other disagreable things . none of which we have seen on vera beach.
           When i read some of the comments here i get the feeling many people  dont know just how lucky we all are to have been to vera .Even if it is not paradise it is not far from it on an earthly level.
           Enjoy it and lets hope it lasts for many years to come , and think it is already way ahead of other so called naturiste area.

Likewise we are only occasional visitors to Vera Playa. Being caravanners there are many nice sites to use often with good beaches but I take the point that they are restricted access pay to get in. Many sites do offer rental accomodations for non caravanners but again restricted pay to enter area.

I guess the closest comparison to Playa Vera is Cap D'Agde in France. We have never been but understand it is a pay to enter establishment again. Also I hear good and bad reports about it.

I think Mr toulemonde is quite right - we should be grateful that we do have a place like Vera Playa to go.

I think also the opposition to naturism at Vera Playa should also realise that the only thing that sets the area apart from thousands of other similar places around the world is Naturism and free expression of its principles.

Well said Terry.
This is why we bought our place in Vera Natura, we have been to many naturist places in Europe but have not found anywhere that can match Vera for the naturist freedom of a large area.
Yes Vera Playa has its problems like anywhere but it’s the nearest thing to how you should be able to enjoy naturism, I.E just the same as any textile beach resort where you are not enclosed in or have to pay an extra price to enter the area.

And indeed,  Vera is a nice place and must stay a naturist place.  Naturism has put Vera on the world card and therefore we have to keep it there and try to further improve it .

Vera is special and we must not be defeatists. It is clear that not everything is prefect, but it is better than most.We are visiters and have been for years and vera is under our skin as the song goes.Like this forum people must keep it moving and show that we are proud to be what we are . This is the same  attitude we should have on the beaches and on the streets. Why bend to the textiles way of thinking . If they dont like it, they dont have to come to vera , especialy in the naturist section.
We are happy at vera and hope to be for many years to come .
Lets hope it continues as it is .....

Hear hear. VP is of course not perfect, but then is anywhere? We hope to be able
to spend a month or so each year in VP for a few more years to come (God willing) and may it continue to be the naturist haven that it is. We hope that the new residents association will be able to raise some of the issues like street cleanliness and improve signage etc with Vera council and in so doing, keep the area clean and welcoming. It's in everyone's interest to promote and protect VP, otherwise, in time, it could disappear. We wouldn't want that, would we? Let's keep the comments on the forum positive and progressive, as that helps too.

Exactly , we all have everything to keep vera as it is .Home owners will assure their home prices and renters will have people renting for years to come .It is up to us all to make sure vera stays as it is .
Positive comments here as well are great to build up a freindly feeling and once again make people want to share the best of the atmosphere .Lets all pull together and make Vera stay VERA.

We have been to naturist areas and beaches in the Canary Islands, France and Spain and to us Vera Playa is the nicest of them all. Without doubt all areas have their problems, but lets hope as time goes on Vera will improve on its small imperfections and remain the beautiful NATURIST area that it is. We are visitors to Vera not owners and when we are there we walk the promenade as far as we can and back down the beach. Not too many walk  promenade nude and you do tend to meet textiles, so if more people would do something similar we will keep the naturist area naturist as there is plenty of beach to the north andS south for the textiles.
