History:

Soon after this website was first set up in 2001 we opened an Online Forum and a Guest Book. In those long lost halcyon days the internet was a very different place and our first forum and guest book did not require members to register - you just made postings! Within a couple of years it was no longer feasible to continue with this sort of fully open forum and guest book as all sorts of rogue posters and scammers were emerging from the woodwork. For several years we had no forum at all until we came across the forum system we currently use and the present online forum opened in August 2007. It has been quite successful, with more than 200 members at any one time and we set up special forums within it just for property owners and also for some of the individual urbanizacions at Vera Playa. However, in the past year we have had an increasing problem of rogue or bogus registrations and to counter this we first introduced manual approval of new registrations and more recently suspended online registration altogether. We try to ensure as far as we can that our registered membership only comprises bona fide naturists interested in Vera Playa.

Browsing

If you wish to make your own postings and/or to be able to browse and use more forums you will need to register as a member. This is free, fairly easy and reasonably quick (within a day or two at most). See below for details

Registration as a Forum Member

To register go to the forum and click on the "Register" button - click here

You will be asked what username you would like to use. We prefer usernames which are either the Member's actual name or are somehow related to it (e.g. combined with the name of the place where you live). We do not accept registrations which are meaningless jumbles of characters, or are exotic, zany, offensive or obscene - such registrations are just deleted.

Occasionally we may need to have an email and/or telephone dialogue with you before we decide whether to accept your registration. Apologies for making things more difficult but unfortunately this is what is necessary these days.

If you own a property at Vera Playa, after you have registered and been accepted as a member, contact us at forum1@veraplaya.info and give us your property name or number and urbanizacion at Vera Playa and the names of the President and Administrator of your Owners' Community and we will put you in a membergroup for your urbanizacion (or if we don't have one, into a membergroup for property owners - this will enable you to access yet more forums/boards.

Already Registered?

If you have already registered as a member of our Online Forum (whether or not you own a property at Vera Playa) you can login and use the forum as normal - click here

If you have not logged in for more than 200 days your membership registration will have lapsed, in which case you will need to re-register as indicated above.

(As from 1 December 2009, members who have not logged in for more than 100 days and have never made any postings since first registering will also be deregistered - this will ensure that our registered membership comprises only those who wish to use the Forum actively)
